Now when I say these are the best tools and apps. They are the best for the businesses I have worked with. There are so many amazing tools out there.
I am fully aware I am not the end all be all so I listed a few other business owners (below) who have their favorites as well.
Do your research and find what works best for your needs.
It is very easy to get caught up in all the tools that can help you.
Some are free and some have a small fee every month. Well, that can add up quickly so watch your bottom line when you are purchasing these tools.
We talk a lot about affiliate marketing in the program, as it is a great way to add to your bottom line. Why not make money when someone clicks on a site you have shared.
For some of the affiliates listed below if you click on the links and purchase I will earn a small commission.
1. Chat Button - Zendesk
I love my chat button, as it is one of the most impactful tools that transformed my business. I thought my website was easy to use and everything was accessible. I was so deep into that I couldn't see it as a customer sees my website.
Once I launched the chat button I had 20 plus chats a day with questions that I was shocked to hear. Every single person that had a question I went into my website to make it better for them.
I did this every single time. I felt if one person has that question why wouldn't others. It took quite a few months before the questions vanished and my website was truly the best. I now get maybe 10 chats a year.
I also love this chat button because it lets them know that I am there for them after they have purchased. It gives them comfort.
I used to pay for the Adobe Suite to create social media posts, blog images, and to edit images. It was fun, fancy, and complex. I knew I wasn't getting the biggest bang for the buck, as there are so many pieces that I didn't need. I came upon Canva and Gimp, which replaced the Adobe Suite.
This tool is amazing for creating social media posts, blog posts, and even videos. It is easy and has a very low learning curve. Use the free version first and when you feel you need more then you can pay for the nominal monthly fee.
This program really mimics PhotoShop. I use it to clean and edit images. It is free but has a very high learning curve. I have needed assistance from others, who have YouTube tutorials to help me use Gimp, as it is a pretty intense program.
3. Mailing Service - Shipping Easy
This has been a lifesaver for mailing our packages. Their monthly fee starts out at zero dependent on the number of packages you mail. The savings for mailing through them is less than buying directly from USPS.
4. Affiliate Marketing - ShareASale / Affiliate Pro
This is a great way for others to want to share your website, as they will get a kickback anytime one purchase from the link that the company shared. I work with both affiliates. The more people sharing us mean less work for us.
5. Saved Files - Google Suite
I use their email, documents, spreadsheets, and forms. They can be shared as well, which is very helpful when you have a team of people. I love how everything is in one place. I save everything and then sync it to our computer, which I save monthly to an external hard drive.
6. Business Management - Trello
This is a great program to manage your clients, customers, and orders.
7. Spell and Grammar Check - Grammarly
Install this on your computer so you will always sound your best.
8. Screenshot - Screenpresso
Screenpresso captures your desktop (screenshots and HD videos) for your training documents, collaborative design work, IT bug reports, and more. The tool also has a built-in image editor, user guide generator, and sharing options.
9. Post on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google My Business - Recurpost
RecurPost allows you to automatically share your updates at the best time, saving you countless hours and increasing your social media engagement every week on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google My Business. I love this tool, as it is so easy to use. Once your account is created you can send posts out immediately. The whole set up and sending out my first post took less than 5 minutes.
10. Post on Pinterest & Facebook - Tailwind
This is a great social media scheduling tool for Pinterest and Facebook. My main focus with this program is to use it for Pinterest.
11. Credit Card Processing - PayPal
The PayPal Commerce Platform is a comprehensive solution designed to serve your business needs and your customers, whether you’re just getting started or already a thriving enterprise or marketplace. I love PayPal and everything they offer. They are not the cheapest, but their customer service and the product are topnotch. Also, PayPal is known as an amazing company worldwide by everyone.
12. Website Data - Google Analytics
Know what traffic is coming to your site. Set this up immediately. Data is your greatest asset.
13. Business Phone Number - Google Phone Number
A great way to have a business phone number that gets directed to your cell phone.
14. Keyword and SEO Research - UberSuggest
This is my most favorite marketing assistant with a focus on my website, my competitor's website, keyword suggestions, and SEO insight.
15. Check For Broken Links - BrokenLinkCheck / DeadLinkChecker
I check my website every day and it will show any broken links, of other company's links, on my website. A broken link doesn't bode well in the eyes of Google, as the reader doesn't want to click on a broken link.
16. BONUS!!! Wedding Vendor Listings
Get found by more brides and receive the SEO benefit of the backlink by listing your business. These are a few of our favorites. Some are free and some have a cost.
